There are a lot of exciting developments coming for me in the near future. I am about to make the move from my home for nearly three years in Santa Barbara to the more opportune metropolis of Los Angeles. I have been fortunate enough to be working enough in LA in the recent months that it is beginning to make sense to move to LA and commute to Santa Barbara for my commitments there. The move will happen the first of October and I find it really exciting to start a new season of life at the cusp of fall 2009.

The latest fire in Santa Barbara has taken a heavy tole on many people in my local community, 30,000 people including myself have been evacuated from our homes and work places. This morning I finally received notice that the mandatory evacuation notice was lowered to a warning for my neighborhood in downtown. I spent a comfortable weekend with family in the L.A. area, took in the new Star Trek movie, and celebrated my Mother and Grandmother on Sunday. This coming week is exciting for me as I have an opportunity to be present at ABC’s coming promo shoot for Desperate Housewives. The premier photographer is Florian Schneider whose work speaks for itself. It should be long days but a lot of fun. Best wishes to all the Mothers! We are all indebted to you. I love you Mom & Grandma! Happy Mother’s Day!

My colleague Matt Chenot (he is a great photographer, you can see his work at www.mattchenot.com) and I just photographed a wedding in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains! It was a fun day and we were glad to avoid rain on the day of the ceremonies. Amanda and David are a wonderful couple who met on eharmony! I guess it really works, huh. The wedding was held at an amazing little wedding boutique called Nestldown. You should really check out there website which will give you an idea of how lovely their grounds are. www.nestldown.com Stay posted for images from Amanda’s special day!

Exciting day today the site is officially up! The team is still working out a few bugs and a few images were tweaked and need fixing, but the main body of the site is live and ready for viewing.
